Tree dead on arrival, no refund, no replacement

Ty Ty Nursery - Tree dead on arrival, no refund, no replacement
I bought a plum tree from Ty Ty Plant Nursery. It arrived as a dry, brittle, stick in a cardboard box. I planted it as instructed. No life after 3 months of daily watering. A few calls and emails to Ty Ty customer service, and they kept delaying me. Finally, they asked for photos. Sent, they agreed the tree was dead, and it was planted in the correct zone. But, customer service told me they do not give refunds and they do not ship replacements. They tried to get me to accept a partial store credit toward purchasing more from Ty Ty, but I would have pay taxes and shipping again. I cant use the store credit to replace the plum tree because they don't have them for a few months. They have a marketing thing called Plantsurance, that is a deceptive way of saying they do not give refunds or replacements. I tried nicely to get them to make this right and either refund or replace, but I was told multiple times that neither was going to happen. I wish I had done more research on Ty Ty Nursery before ordering. They have numerous bad reviews, and complaints filed against them with the Better Business Bureau. I also discovered that they have quite a few aliases they use on the internet, as many as 30 or more.

User's recommendation: What ever you are thinking of buying from Ty Ty Nursery, find another source. They cant be trusted. Their quality, shipping, descriptions of their products, and customer service are all very bad. And they charge premium prices for plants and shipping. No matter how desperate you may be to find a certain plant or product, don't waste yoru t

Dead tree. Issued a credit for the amount of that tree. Sounds good, right? Wait---when you go to use that credit you can't get the replacement until you spend at least $60 . No getting around it . So, to replace a DEAD tree, I need to buy more product. Quite a racquet they've go going on here

No cooperation on replacement tree, only gift certificate that you MUST use which is deducted from min order IF you place another order

Original review Jul 29, 2020
Tulip Tree died, sent photos of dead trunk, they DO NOT REFUND or REPLACE anything and good luck in getting someone to answer their number. They give you a credit for LESS than the cost of the tree, then you have to spend $100 to use it. These people are a joke and should be put out of business by Filing a Complaint by phone or writing with the Ga. Consumer Div. with Ga. Attorney General. I'm stuck with a credit that I can't use as I will NEVER deal with them again.

I bought 4 trees, one was dead, I asked that they replace it and they gave me a store credit I said just send me another tree, they said they couldn't because my order was not over $60.00. I said why should I put in a $60.00 order for you to replace my tree, and was told that was their policy. I will never order from them again

Defective product, zero support

After a great deal of effort, I got the folks at Ty Ty Nursery to agree to ship replacement plants. Because of the time of year, they cannot ship until after October 5.

I have informed them that I will be out of the country from mid-November until early December.

I believe that they will ship replacement product after I return in December.I will consider this matter to be unresolved until I get the product. That is how little regard I have for followup by this vendor.

If you want to do busy with a company that ships bad product and ignores emails and phone calls when the product is no good, you will love TyTy.I suggest that you avoid TyTy unless you like throwing money into a sewer.

I bought two very expensive banana plants from this shady operation. The plants that arrive from Georgia to Texas were in horrible shape. I planted them. When the plants didn't grow, I tried getting some help from them. I emailed. I left a phone message. It's been months, and I have received no response. I strongly suggest that people avoid doing business with this company. Their product was no good, and they wouldn't even respond to provide support. They take your money, ship garbage, and if you have a problem, they keep the money and ignore you.

Dead trees/ no customer service

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I wish I had not spent a couple hundred dollars on four 3-5 feet sized crape myrtle trees from tyty. Not only were these large trees dead on arrival, but the company insists that customers wait and wait before getting their cases reviewed..

and then wait some more for the trees to magically come back to life. I have wasted a lot of time with this company. they are not interested in giving the customer a quality product or making them satisfied. After these trees have been dead in the ground for 2 months(may-july), they expect me to believe another month of doing this will somehow make a difference.

They will not give me a refund or credit. It;'s like a roadblock. "Wait another month" Its not a reasonable approach.

I ordered crape myrtles from 4 other online companies and they are all healthy and growing well in my yard., Its shocking just how bad these tyty products are... the only thing worse is their unwilingness to make things right after 2 months of failed plants.

Placed order since all others had posted that orders would be delayed because of the c o-vid hoax. Then after order is placed and hearing nothing from them I contacted Tyty and was told order will not be shipped for at least three weeks. Felt like I was bait-and switched, so cancelled order. Had $31 shipping fee on order, so they took a 15% cancellation fees including the $31 shipping amount. They are shady. Do not do business with them.

I received this tree three weeks ago. Within an hour I planted in pre=dug hole with great dirt backfill and plenty of water and sunshine(pictures available of plant). I doesn't look like it is perking up. The leaves are either drooping or turning brown.I can send pics if possible. I want this baby to take off but if not I want another tree. I spen over 100 dollars on this.

They don't do refunds or replacements. They give you a credit to use on the next order you place, but it has to be over a certain amount to be useful.

Forget about calling them; they don't answer their phones either. They should go to jail for fraud at the very least.

I should have read the reviews before ordering. I usually always do when engaging a new company. These people are every negative comment made by others who were duped in one way or the other. They took my money. Never responded after 8 attempts and then on #9 said give them two weeks. I refuse to fool with these frauds. How do they manage to stay in business and why havent they been investigated? I have no problem at hiring a legal staff to file suit. TyTy dont mess with me. One way or the other you will lose!

File a complaint with the Georgia Consumer Protection Division at the Georgia Attorney General's office. Enough complaints about their "questionable" business practices and possible fraud should put them out of business. If you want a reliable company, order from fastgrowingtrees; they stand behind what they sell 100%.

I purchased 4 small trees from Ty Ty and planted them the same day they arrived. They did nothing the first 2 weeks and I thought they just arrived dead, so I gave the company a poor review. After about a month, they all started showing signs of life and began to show new growth. So I am very pleased with my purchase.

I tried that with a small Tulip Tree. It was dead within a week with brown trunk and NO life whatsoever.

Proving that it was dead didn't help; they don't give refunds or exchanges, only a gift certificate that you need to add lots of money to even use. No thanks.
